Adding a new Resource to the Project#

Pre-Requisites

  • Must be assigned as a Project Manager for the project in Avaza. If this is not the case, consult Project Services.

To add a new resource to the project:

  1. Select the project from the list of projects.
  2. Click the settings gear icon in the header bar.
  3. Click the 'Add Person' button at the top of the 'Project Members' list.
  4. Select the resource from the appropriate dropdown in the popup window which appears (similar to below).
  5. It is not necessary to set the rates. These are adopted from the Timesheet Category selected by resources when entering timesheets.

  6. Select the following options and uncheck all others:

    • Timesheet entry allowed?
    • Timesheet approval required?
    • Comments
  7. Confirm that the appropriate Timesheet Category exists for the new resource in the 'Timesheet Categories' list. If the required category has not been setup, see Adding a new Timesheet Category to the Project.

Adding a new Timesheet Category to the Project#

Pre-Requisites

  • Must be assigned as a Project Manager for the project in Avaza. If this is not the case, consult Project Services.

To add a new resource to the project:

  1. Select the project from the list of projects.
  2. Click the settings gear icon in the header bar.
  3. Click the 'Add Category' button at the top of the 'Timesheet Categories' list.
  4. Select the appropriate existing category from the dropdown. If an appropriate existing category does not exist, consult Project Services.
